We take a great pride in our wine list and many of the wines have won awards. We have a 'try before you buy' policy on all our wines, as we are so confident in their quality. Like everything else at Tempus Fugit, our wine list changes seasonally and we often have special or unusual wines, please ask to speak to our Wine Waiter for details of anything 'extra special'! CHAMPAGNE & SPARKLING WINE Nicholas Feuillatte Champagne £28.50 A light and fruity Champagne with fine discreet bubbles and subtle overtones of apples and pears. Has undergone 2 years cellar ageing. Sparkling Rose Pink Cava Pere Ventura £17.95 For those who like their rose with a sparkle, this delightful pink cava hails from the Penedes region and is light and easy to drink. CRISP, DRY WHITE WINES Cuvee de Richard Vin de Pays Comte du Tolesan, France, £9.95 A well-balanced white with clean, fresh fruit on the palate and tingling acidity on the finish. The blend has undergone cool fermentation to freshness and optimum fruit concentration. Neblina Sauvignon Blanc, Chile, £14.95 Youthful, lively & fresh, this Sauvignon has herbal, tropical notes and a zesty, citrus palate. ‘Les Baudrieres’ Sancerre 2005, Loire Valley, France £25.95 The most famous of all Loire Sauvignons, Sancerre is renowned for its crisp, citrus and gooseberry flavours, balanced by restrained mineral elegance. 2005 was an exceptional vintage in the Loire Valley and this wine amply demonstrates the quality of wines produced. Chablis, Cave de Chablis 2005, Burgundy, France, £19.95 This 2006 Wine Challenge Bronze Medal Winner offers a classic depth of mineral complexity, a stunning example of wines typical of the region. Fairleigh Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand £18.95 A single-estate Sauvignon Blanc from the prestigious Marlborough region, displaying ripe gooseberry & elderflower flavours with an elegant, mouth watering palate. Muscadet Sur Lie Domaine des Hautes Noelles, Loire Valley, France £15.95 A hugely characterful and gold medal winning wine, with unique floral aromas & fabulous exotic fruits. This wine has been left on its lies for at least 6 months, creating a sturdy structure and an elegant complexity. FULL, FRUITY WHITE WINES Coldridge Semillon Chardonnay, South Eastern Australia, £13.95 An excellent, easy drinking chardnnay blend, with citrus & tropical fruit flavours and an elegant finish. Marques de Caceres , Rioja Blanco, Spain £14.95 A superb white Rioja with a complex & distinctive full flavour, dry & slightly nutty. Pouilly-Fumé 'Les Ferrées' 2005, Marcel Sautejeau, Loire Valley, France SPECIAL OFFER! £25.95 (Normally £32.95) A classic Pouilly-Fumé with delicious aromas of peach, acacia blossom, quince and hazelnuts being joined by typical flint characters. Hautes Cabrieres Unoaked Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2006, South Africa £17.95 Our current favourite, a truly special wine which took us ages to track down! This unusual blend of unoaked chardonnay and 10% pinot noir has proved so successful that demand is far outweighing supply at the moment. Drink it while we can still get it! DELICATE WHITE WINES Corte Giaria Pinot Grigio, Italy, £15.95 Zingy acidity and soft sunny fruit, a perfect apéritif for a hot summer's day. . SMOOTH & SOFT RED WINES Neblina Merlot, Chile £14.95 On the nose, rich notes of plum and blackberries lifted by chocolate and mocha. Silky, yet structured with concentrated fruit flavours. Cuvee de Richard Vin de Pays, Languedoc, France, £9.95 A smooth, immensely gluggable blend of Grenache, Carignan and Merlot grapes from the L’Aude wine region, with bags of soft blackcurrant fruit. Vintage Bordeaux – Chateau Fleur Plaisance, St Emilion Grand Cru, 2003, France £29.95, Many of the famous and classic French reds hail from the Bordeaux region, and this stunning example makes it easy to see why. 2003 was one of the hottest vintages on record, this fine example offers aromas of dark fruit and hints of cherries, with excellent balance and silky tannins, showing a hint of liquorice on the finish. BOLD & FULL-BODIED RED WINES Montequinto Rioja, Spain, £13.95 Rich and made from tempranillo grapes in the historic region of Briones, this entry-level Rioja boasts a deep cherry colour with red fruit aromas and an elegant, pleasant palate. Santiago 1541 Cabernet Sauvignon, Santiago, Chile £12.95 This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a deep ruby red colour, a strong body & balanced flavours. Extra-special Vintage Rioja - Vina Verja Gran Reserva 1996, Rioja, Spain £19.95 Only the best vintages in the Rioja region are given the ‘Gran Reserva’ title, and this wine is thoroughly deserving of its class, displaying mature leather & tobacco characters, with elegant vanilla oak complexity and a long, lingering finish. We can’t recommend it highly enough!
